Ford Oil Pan Replacement

I have a 2000 Excursion with the 7.3L and the dreaded oil pan rotting/rotted failure. I POR'ed it last year, but the pain is leaking badly and if a rock hit it I am afraid the pan will be ruined.

Anyone have any good mechanics who will work on the side to pull the motor and replace the oil pan?

Any suggestions appreciated! I am in central CT (Middletown area), but am willing to drive and leave it where neccessary. While the motor is out it will also need new up-pipes.

Sorry, but all my mechanic friends have more work than they can do. One is head mechanic at a utility company and he's always busy these days. And the other has a new kid and no time.

If you find someone who is willing to do one post up. I'm probably going to want/need a pan in the next few years.

I can tell you where not to go. I had a pan and rear seal amongst other work done and 4k miles, 5 months later the oil pan gasket is leaking along with the rear main worse than when I brought it in. Not an hour ago I just got back from a stealership in litchfield Ct and they want 1200.00 to replace the rear main and new gasket. I was informed that the 12 month 12k mile warantee that came with the job doesn't cover seals or gaskets. Dealer gonna cost 2 grand and if it isn't done right, you're going to hold your hand on your *** to get it re-done.
If you are forced to have a stealership do it, get it in writing if it fails they will fix it, no charge, if they won't, find a stealership that will. It leaves me with putting up a chain hoist and having a go at it, good luck.
