What is the Secret of the A/C Seats?
I've read the manual...no dice
I've played with my Auto HVAC thingy...no dice
My A/C cooled seats work when they want to...and not when I demand it
Completely random. Is there some secret to force them to blow cold air on my sweaty butt?

cause I'm a little pissed that I even have them. That could have been roughly $1,000 less I could have spent.
Button on "High" = Nothing 3/4 of the time
Button on "Low" = Nothing 3/4 of the time
and then they'll just randomly kick on...and then turn themselves off. Seemingly at whim. Note, that is when the button is pushed. When the button is off, they are off as well...so at least that much works on them

I think all the A/C seat is is just a fan under the seat that blows air through the vent holes in the cover. I stuck my head under there when I first got them to see what was attached and didnt notice any coolant lines or anything going to them. All the fan does is pull "cooler" air from the bottom of the vehicle and push it through the seat. If you peak under, you'll see a white colored filter where the inlet for the fan is. If you're A/C isn't cranking and getting colder air to the bottom oft he car, your butt is still gonna be warm until cooler air circulates to the fan inlet.

I think sometimes mine activate the heating element when the A/C function is turned on, it's worse on the passinger side. Dealer has looked at it but they don't know what to do.
Does seem to do a better job when the vehicle A/C is on the floor vents. Seems to pick up some of the cool air.
When they do work, it never last more than 15 -20 minutes, then they actually feel like they are getting hot.
