Amen to that! And what's better is that it finally decided to rain on a day that I didn't have to work in it also. Still, too little to late. Pond is drying up, and there are areas of swamps south of Ponchatoula that are completely 100% dry. Never have I seen such a large area of swamps simply dry up and turn into dirt solid enough to walk across.

Don't know the total we've had since Sun, but prior to that, cent MS had only gotten a total of .5 inch since the last week in May. At my house we'd had fractionally less than where its officially measured, 10 miles away at the airport.

I'm just glad to have the atmosphere washed down, even if its a lil' thick. At least its not so parched & dusty.

I think my lawn has grown a foot in the last 48hrs.

jr32560: Maryland (Aberdeen) is my hometown, but I've lived in Mississippi long enough to call it my adopted home state. Like your waving flag and long thought that Maryland has one of the best looking state flags of the 50 or so out there. (just my opinion)

What's going on guys? I just got back in town, went down to Houston Texas for a visit with relatives, did alot of relaxing and did some sight seeing. It's good to be back home and I'm especially glad we got some much needed rain.

Me and my Wife head down to Texas just about once a year, all of her family is spread all over the state. She has one brother on the far side of Houston. I can say one thing about Houston thats one big town.I drive around Memphis a lot and theres not many highways in Memphis which are 12 lanes or more. On their roads you had better move on at the speed they are going or get ran over.

Well my week and a half vacation is coming to a end. Damn, I wish I could make a living being on vacation or win the lottery, it'd be all the same. I'm putting my 65 f100 ranger up for sale... if anyone has interest.

Have fun, that's some beautiful country out there, love them mountains out around El paso, did some work over there a few years back, had a good time sight seeing.
