Engine for Mater!

Well I finally found a motor for Mater, got this 351C for $200. http://daytona.craigslist.org/pts/1233961013.html
The guy said the only problem is that it has low oil when it gets hot. Soooo excited, I will be bringing it back in Aug when I go down there on vacation! The parents are picking it up for me today.

Sweet! Momma's going to love having that strapped down in the back of the minivan for 800 miles.

Hate to rain on your parade but usually in a Ford V-8, low oil pressure when hot means bad main bearings. Most of the time the crankshaft is also worn to the point of needing machine work too If it needs a crank kit, it might not be such a good deal. Good luck.

Well when I get it here I will pull the crank out and go have it checked out. He never did specify how low the oil pressure was. The guys in the 335 forum said to have the mains turned and new bearings put in. Here are a few quick pics, I will try to get some more tomorrow.
