Mustang Fuel Tank Install

I'm doing a similar setup on my '67 after reading this and was wondering if you had any pictures of the fuel fill under the fuel door. This is the last thing I have to do to be finished and am having trouble figuring out how to set it up with so little room between the tank and the bed floor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Ok, this question has come up several times and after some research I think I have found a solution to installing a Mustang tank that will work on a fuel injected engine like I am planning.
1964-68 Ford Mustang Fuel Injection Tank
This tank has provisions for not only an in-tank fuel pump, but it also has a bung for a myriad of aftermarket sending units with different ohm ratings and the price looks very reasonable.

I have a couple questions
what filler neck /cap did you use ? stock ones ?
if so do you have any issues with gas spilling out on quick take offs ? I know the early mustang always spit gas out the back if you stomped on it .
also did you install any kind of vent system for the tank ?
thanks in advance

Bobby, I must apologize to you, for not giving you the Kudos you deserve, in another thread. But here, you have done what anyone would love to be able to do. You have inspired me to try this. I have a bed off project starting when I get back to Baja, and as usual, projects grow to fill more than the available time & money. Clean, clean, clean, is all I can say... Hope I can do similar work...

The '65-'68 tank was 16 gallons.
The '69 tank was 20 gallons.
The 1970 tank was 22 gallons.
All three of these tanks had the same bottom half. The upper half is the difference for the added capacity.
The sending unit is 10-75 ohms (10 ohms full, 75 ohms empty). However, the Mustang sending unit is specific to the capacity of the particular tank. --longer travel of the float arm as the tank capacity increases.
A sending unit for a 16 gallon or 20 gallon Mustang tank isn't going to be accurate if used in a 22 gallon tank.
1965 Shelby R model Mustangs came from the factory with 34 gallon baffled gas tanks. This was accomplished by putting the bottoms of TWO gas tanks together.

1970 Mustang (Cougar same) fuel tank with Evaporative Emission is 20 gallons, without Evaporative Emission, it's 22 gallons. Same sending unit used with both.
Evaporative Emission introduced in 1970, was mandatory in sold new CA vehicles, may have been mandatory in other states as well.
