EAB head installation?

All you flathead gurus, I need to know if there is anything special to do when installing heads. I had to pull the heads and intake to clean some stuck valves. I know the tightening sequence, and to put a sealer on the head bolts, other than that I don't know. I have metal gaskets from the late 60's . It's an 8ba block, eab heads, and domed pistons 90 over. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kent.

Ok, I guess I made it sound like I know more than I do. The last time I worked on a flathead was 35 years ago. This engine to be exact. I can't remember much of the process. I was only 17. I don't know what to put on the bolts only that in one of these threads someone said they needed sealed. So what is something good to use? Can I use it on the head gaskets also? Thanks, Kent

Thread Sealant. The head bolts are apart of your water jacket so you seal the threads to prevent coolant loss. Not a mandatory step but a smart one.

What would be a good brand of thread sealant? Permatex # 2, or ???. Once I get the carb rebuilt I will be installing the heads . Hopefully within a week or so. Thanks
