Does anybody have the wiring diagram for the winshield wiper motor? My original switch is for a single speed motor. My wiper motor has 4 wires coming out it.(white, blue, black & orange). I am using a wiper switch on the column.
With 4 wires, is this a 2 speed motor?
My truck is a 63 my Dad bought in 72 and I can't remember if he ever changed it or if it got changed before I got it back.

Kevin from memory, The black is always ground, orange is the hot wire. My guess is blue and white are the speed controls. It is easy to figure out.

I have a 76 2 speed in my 66 with a delay switch. I don't understand "I am using a wiper switch on the column."

Posting circuit from later model wiring diag., assume the circuits are simular, possibly trace the wires to appropriate location. As John noted, also not clear 'wiper switch on the column'.

Kevin is using an Ididit column in his truck, which has the wiper switch intergraded into the turn signal. got this from looking at his progress pic's and the Maze of wires under his dash. i hope i am right.

 

The wiper switch is made into the turn signal lever with the cruise control. If blue and white are the speed controls, it won't be to hard to figure out.

Yes, speed control, now recall the thread and originally was going to comment on how labor intensive the kit appeared and would be interested in level of difficulty for the installation. Wow, guess my wiring diag. will be of little use for your application. Keep posting progress, this is a 'Custom Classic Truck' magazine article in the making.

 

This is where I am at on this. I am getting ready to start the cruise control. I will take pics and let you know how difficult it is.

This is all the Dakota Digital controllers that are in so far.

Ok, now I have a 2 speed motor that works. Do the black, blue and white switch the ground? I need to understand how it works so I can convert it over to the turn signal/wiper switch.

As posted, the black wire is always ground from factory, like green is always ground on house wire, always.

Switching between other colors can do different things to different parts.

I finally figured out how this two speed motor works.
I got the 2 speed motor out of a 78 F100.
The red wire is constant hot into the motor.
The black wire is hot coming out of the motor in the run position and connects to the white(low speed) wire to make it park and then becomes neutral.
When the switch is turned to low, the the white wire becomes hot and the black is seperated from the white.
When the switch is turned to high, the blue wire becomes hot and the black is seperated from the white.
When the switch is turned off, the black connects with the white to make it park.
This took some time to figure out.
I did figure out how to get this to work off of the turn signal/wiper lever by using 3 relays so that I could use ground to run into the column. Now I just have to get it mounted in the truck and hook it up.
