Fuel Cap

Want to get rid of that ugly refueling area in my 1955 F100. Have seen some conversions on E-Bay where a cap is made that fits over the ugly hole. However I cannot tell what hinge was used that fits in that small space. Does anyone know, as its hard to get into a wrecking yard just to look around? I bought the one from Mid Fifty's in Arizona, and it will not fit in the hole without major modification - and its chinzy.
