I have a door ajar light that is on and thus causes the running board lights and interior lights to stay on....any ideas on how to correct this problem?

I have a 1997 Expedition XLT 4.6. The light just came on....no accident, no known issue to cause it....just out of the blue. Thanks.

I unplugged the relay in the dash fusw panel, then plugged it back in. That fixed it. then I lubed all the door switches. Hasn't happened for 2 years since.
