Hello Everyone!!!

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 4X4 with the original tonneau. The tonneau is in excellent condition but it needs a new locking mechanizium and strut. I tried all the camper places but no one seems to know who makes it. Ford wants $$$ for the parts. Does anyone know where to get parts and who makes the tonneau?

 

Well... I tried to call some of the major tonneau makers. No one knows who made the tonneau.

A strut? Is that the gas filled spring that's used to balance the tonneau as you raise it from the bed? Try a search for "gas filled spring" if it is.

Locking mechanism? Hmmmm, Locksmith perhaps?

Just some thinking off the top.

 

When I bought my '03 from the dealer it came with a soft tonneau cover made by Extang. www.extang.com

Maybe they sold hard tonneaus to Ford dealers also.
