Glad to hear it! I have a '58 F100 w/ a 292 w/ a 3-on-the-tree backed by a 9" Ford rear end. My parents bought it for me in high school and I appreciated it, but didn't love it...I had my heart set on a '56 F100! After pouring who knows how much time, blood, sweat, tears, AND money to get it running so I had a ride, it slowly started to grow on me. Now 11 yrs later I have definitely fell in love w/ it (as well as the '57-'60 body style) and am looking forward to slowly restoring it as time and money permit. I have many ideas for it and ,in typical fashion!!, the only things slowing me down are time, money, and space! Keep me in the loop on what he does. I would love any tips or advice on it. I have already ran into the problem of there being way more '53-'56 F100 aftermarket acessories than there are for the '57-'60 F100's. Good Luck w/ it!
Great, can't wait to see it. I found a 79 on a paintball course I am getting the tailgate off of and maybe some extra small inside stuff. Gotta love free stuff! LOL
Sheet metal on older vehicles didn't have any vin # s on them like todays do, with the older iron matching #s means the original drivetrain , options that match info tag like paint , trim . Some options were dealer installed on some vehicles and didn't show up anywhere except the bill of sale, AC, West coast mirrors, extra fuel tanks, excreta ,and so long as those are era correct and proven dealer options it is considered #s matching.
