Speed or rev limiter in ECU's
First time poster & would really appreciate some HELP!!! 93 F-150,5.8 ,E40D quite a few mods. Changed stock ECU which was a U2L1 to a C3P2 that is an early lightning box because truck was hitting speed limiter at 72 MPH from tire size. Does afore mentioned box have any Rev or Speed limiters, and if so how to eliminate? Thank you very much.

Speed or rev limiter in ECU's
Don't know about your year but current Lightnings have the limiter set around 120 mph. You can't eliminate the limiters without either flashing the Ford computer directly (which would just replace it with another Ford program) or overriding it with an aftermarket performance chip.

Does the Superchip take care of the speed limiter issue on the 93-95's?
I was thinking about one of these chips does it actually help performance wise?
