sugar in the gas tank.

I got a friend with a 00 lightning and some punk put a pound or more sugar in his gas tank. He said it woudlnt run over 20 miles an hour and it would always bog out when he pushed the gas tank. I'm just wonderin what kind of damage this does to the engine.

sugar in the gas tank.

Clogged injectors and if it gets through the injectors, it can score the piston rings and cause all sorts of nasty stuff.

Probably some retard who had his *** handed to him while racing the Lightning. Some people don't deal with defeat very well.

sugar in the gas tank.

I was under the impression that since sugar won't disolve in gas that it would just plug/clog up the filter, thereby restricting fuel flow. That sounds like what would allow him to only get up to 20 mph. Could a person remove the plugged filter, while opening the fuel line into a empty gas can or other container to drain the sugar, or would this require dropping the tank?

I think dropping thank would be the best bet since most have a sock looing filter inside the tank. If you clog up the sock filter it just sucks closed especialy if the pump is in the tank.

One more sugestion, locking Gas cap. When your fast your bound to **** someone off.
