Ford TK?

Hello Everyone,

The other day a lady in a '99 Corola decided to play chicken with the back of my pickup. I was sitting at a light and she rear-ended me going 40 mph. It buckled the rear bumper, off-centered the bed and shoved the bed into the cab smashing out the rear window.

When I called up to French Lake Auto Parts, they said they have an 8 foot bed from an '85 Ford TK. I've never heard of this type of truck. Did they really mean truck or is there a special type of bed called TK. I'd call back up there to ask them, but cell phone time to Minapolis from Iowa aint cheap.

The 80/86 (and all other) truck beds will fit but the body lines won't be the same.

I'm guessing you have an 88. If so, try and find an 87/91 or even a 92/96-97 so it will still match the wheel wells on your front fenders.

Actualy the truck's an 84 and the yard said the bed's off an 85. Surprised none of the local yards have anything, but that's sioux city for ya.

When I first started at these boards I was driving an 88 f150, then I sold it. I have no idea how to change usernames and it's a constant reminder how stupid I was to have sold my first truck.

I think theres a lot of people on here like that with names that dont have anything to do with what they drive now. You might want to put that in your sig though to avoid future confusion. As far as the TK thing, the person you talked to may have not understood the abbreviation that was being used. I'd agree with stosh though, it's a truck.
