I love my three stick doubler. It does not have the option of a 3:1 ratio, but the 4:1 is awesome.

To answer your question, the chebby case will not even come close to the ford pattern, nor is the spline count on the shafts anywhere near what you need.
You will need a ford case, to fit your ford adapter.

What did you end up doing on your drive shafts, did you get new ones made. What kind of money range did it end up costing you? Also how difficult was it really to do?

Gotta make new shafts because the doubler package is a different length than the original 205 alone. If you are going to a doubler, than you will want to upgrade yokes and joints to 1350's at least. Yokes run about 100 bucks each.
My shafts and such ran me about 1500 bucks total.
Difficulty level? I dunno, I guess this may vary from individual to individual. Hardest part is getting the entire package up in to the truck. Its heavy, I mean heavy!

Well, mine is difficult to see while it is in the truck, I have the 205 indexed pretty far up and my cables for the shifters are difficult to see in pics. Here is a few links for the parts that I use:
I did not purchase yokes from this facility but I do use the adapter.
