Hi everyone. I might post this elsewhere too, but I wanted to get some opinions from local folks. I have a 1983 F-250 that I have been wanting to do a solid axle swap on, and if you have ever looked for a Dana 60 front end they are very hard to come by around here. Everything I have seen on ebay is east of the Mississippi and freight is a deal breaker. Anyway, I have a 1978 E-150 van that runs good but has a nasty knock in it. It is an econoline so nothing fancy and all running gear is original but it starts every time I turn the key. The deal is a guy here in town wants the van and $500 for a complete Dana 60 front, single rear wheel. Im not sure if it is a kingpin or balljoint, but either way is ok with me. I do need to change gears as it is a 4.10 and my truck is a 3.55, but otherwise it is complete hub to hub, with springs. Did I do ok? Oh and I was looking to get rid of the van sometime anyway.... Thanks for any input everyone...
Thanks Flamebuster. Oh by the way, the site has been hacked by some GM derilect, my username got changed even. Hopefully someone can find the hack. It must suck to know your company is going out of business. Bye bye Chevrolet!
