Oh, most certainly not CS65. I'm not that fast with a welder! That truck I sent you the pics of was quite rotten, luckily mine was a very solid southern Oregon truck, that also spent some time in Arizona. On the dash is an original Dana/Spicer decal to inform the driver how to use the hubs and 4 wheel drive. It must have been applied at the dealership I guess. It's not likely from a previous owner got the decal with aftermarket hubs, because the hubs are still the originals with the 3 bolt design. It also has the 4 wheel drive decal on the driver's side sunvisor, though it is quite ratty, but I kept it because it's sort of a unique feature. I should take some pics of those decals and post them.

Here are pics of the decals. Whether or not they are "original" or not, I'm not 100%, but they are definitely "period accessories". The one on the dash was hard to get a good shot of because it is on the curved dash, and the foil in the decal is kind of reflective.

How many half tons with the 292 option were made. i cut one up last summer. I bought it to keep but someone had took the id plate off the glove door and the used a title for a 1966 to get it plated. The frame was perfect kept it for my 66 f-250 4x4 its the same frame.

How many half ton 1961 4 by 4 ;s were made with the 292. I cut one up last summer,i bought it at a auction to restore, but when recieved the title it was for a 1966 and they took the tag off the glove box and used the newer title for the plates.Kept the frame it is almost perfect for my 66 f-250 4x4 they are the same.

The visor decal is factory piece and indeed all but impossible to replace...ratty or not...it IS original to the truck...The glovebox decal looks period correct though Ive never seen a decal like that before...what do the numbers at bottom of decal say..tiny numbers ...I saw a couple of them in the pic...

Ford didn't break down the production figures inre to powertrains, so there's no way to know.

1961 F100 4WD production figures:

Flareside Pickup: 2,468 / Styleside Pickup: 255 / Cab & Chassis: 180.
