John, I wouldn't bother...
You don't want to plow with a Ranger.. It will not take the beating..
You hit one curb and it will probably fall apart..
If you want to plow get at least an F250...
What are you planning to plow??? If it's just your driveway invest in a good snowblower.. It will be cheaper in the long run..

just a couple of driveways i have a snowblower but im wicked lazy lol i have my driveway and 3-4 others i was just wondering if it was worth it but i dont wanna do it if its gonna kill my truck. i do plow in works f350 but im not allowed to bring it home (even tho i do lol) but its too wide to get in my grandmothers driveway wich is wicked long thats why i was thinkin about one for the ranger if i could get it used and cheap

Either way it will cost you more than a snow blower and the insurance you would be paying..
ANother option would be to get a Bobcat or maybe a John Deere/Kubota style bucket loader.. Probably more fun anyway..

John,
I have a 87 Toyota I use to plow just my driveway. It does a decent job but it does tend to get stuck a bit at times. I had used the 4.0L Ranger to pull out the Toyota a few times. The plow ended up hung up on the bank i was plowing into. The Toyota is a bit to light weight and with a wooden bed it's even lighter. It gets a little fishy in the snow in 2wd (I had to plow 2 friends out this past winter) driving down the road.
I have pushed a fair bit of snow at one time with it but you really have to plow in stages. If you have a pile to move you have to take like a 1/4 blade at a time. I also can't really stack the snow you need to plan on a pile 1.5 blades high and as deep as what you guess you will need. I did run out of room but luckily I live at the end of a road and started pilling it up at the end where the town could move it easier than me.
I have a about a 120' driveway with 4 car wide at top and it takes me about 30-45 minutes to get it to perfection with 6-10 inches on it (and moving cars around).
Hope that helps.
Edit:
I have also contimplated an ATV with a plow but was told they pretty much suck A and my Toyota was 100 times better.
