MA inspection

i bought a 2005 ranger 4.0 and i went to get a sticker this weekend and i was told the new obd system they use to give the stickers wasnt compatable with my trucks software and they were going to have to check with a ford dealership i was confused by all of this because i dont get why it wouldnt be compatable my mechanic said his guess would be a fuse blown hes seen it happen on cadilacs but i was just wondering if anyone had any clue what the hell is going on with this whole mess

I believe the 2005 Ranger has the same PCM/ECM as my 2007 had - I was inspected back in March of 2008 and it worked fine. Try TheRangerStation.com or Ranger-Forums.com and post your question over there... there's a wealth of Ranger knowledge between those two sites!

I don't have a Ranger, but I think the BS flag is flying high on this one..

I might believe an older ranger, but a 2005??

Glad you got it straightened out...

Sometimes it's the little things that cause the most grief..
