wonder it this is an additive of some kind? Would be nice if it could be done for easily for those of us with cold winters...

Prof VonGerpin at the University of Idaho made me aware of this some time ago. It is not an additive, but a new way of processing. You can find out more here: Indiana Soybean Alliance - Permaflo Q&A

It could be used by homebrewers...............I'm still trying to find out more, but they are being very carefull about releasing to much info. Prof VonGerpin said he'll keep me in the loop.............
