2004 Ford Expedition Service Engine Soon Light

2004 Ford Expedition.

engine dies when driving slow. battery light comes on when at idel, took
truck to auto zone to test it out and they could not get a read from it, they said they had a simalar prblem with another customer, and that person said they went online and they figured out it was a fuse blown somewhere but they couldn not tell me where, does anyone have any idea where i could look, so i can get my truck diagosed, by auto zone?

I would say if it's a blown fuse start with the fuse box. just a hunch.

Look in your owner's manual for the fuse for the OBDII test plug. It's usually the cigar lighter fuse.

If the fuse is good, the AutoZone store needs to update their scanner to a CAN protocol unit.

fyi, i had a similar issue. turned out to be a 1" exposed piece of engine harness. hard to see as it was behind the intake manifold. the exposed wire was shorting out on the block, and would blow the fuse as i was driving.

lol, replace the cps! i looked at the diagram, and it's right in the front engine cover. about $50 retail at dealership. probably have to have the pcm reflashed to have the code removed afterwards.

Unhappy 2000 Ford Expedition, No service engine soon light coming on

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition. I took it in for the usual smog check (CA) I had an egr valve problem, got it fixed. However, it will not pass smog because... the service engine soon light does not come on. Is there a fuse that it could be or is it more than likely the bulb is burned out?

Since there's no fuse just for the bulb, it's likely the bulb that is burned out.

Next time, start a new thread instead of resurrecting an old, dead, and unrelated thread.
