well the 4V heads have big ports,and the 2V heads small ports and these are suited for street use you can bolt a weiand 8010 4 barrel intake to the head if it is on the 351M/400 were the 4V it is not possible cause the intake ports on the head are too big
yeah the ports dont match at all.. they both have different intakes and headers. 4v's are huge and take either big CI or RPM to get use of them and the exhaust ports aren't that good. the 2v heads are a good overall street or truck head.
i'm bored today so i took a pic of my PME 4v adapter plates that i dont have a use for vs the port on my 1st set of junk 2v aussie heads i have taking up space..

"2V" heads are 4V??
my edelbrock 4v performer is much smaller than the ports on the heads...ill post a pic. the 2v heads are 2 1/16" from top to bottom and the 4v are 2 7/16".
Yes,it is a 400.Its a 2V carb,original.Its listed on craigslist,but a guy who's interested said that he was hoping it was a 4V engine,but I guess that's not possible?
