Water pump squeal?

Water pump squeal?
The other day I noticed a squealing coming from under the hood I figured it was a belt loose. So I checked the belts and did tighten my alternator belt some but the squealing was still there. When I'm standing there listening it sounds like it may be coming from the water pump. Will a water pump going out make a squealing sound, kind of like a loose belt would sound? I wonder too because my temp gauge hasn't gotten over 180 degrees the last few times I've driven. I didn't know if maybe it was because it was around 50 degrees outside or something else?? Thanks for any insight on this.

I posted this in my other thread about my issue with my carb leaking. But it quit making noise on it's own???? I don't know what the deal is. I drove it over 100 miles over the weekend and no abnormal sounds at all and the temp gauge stayed right at 180. I guess I'll leave it alone until it starts it again.
I just wanted to follow up on my thread. I don't like to leave threads just hanging, so that anyone searching with a similar problem can see what my outcome was. I don't know how many time I've searched and found someone with the same problem I have but they never came back to say what exactly it was or what exactly fixed it.

I have the same problem, have been posting in a different thread. I'm reletively sure that my water pump is shot, indicated by the florescent green fluid under the vehicle. I have a 2000 F250 7.3L Diesel. What is a good source for rebuilt? I need bang for the buck right now cause I'm not working.
Thanks

Water Pump
The pump for my 7.3L is L58-554 and the price is like $99. For that I might as well support my local rebuilder because it's an order item and
AutoZone is going to tack on another few dollars for shipping.

Well the squeal didn't come back but I noticed a wet spot the other day under the front of my truck right in the front center of the engine. I got under it and looked up from the spot and sure enough there was a little drip of antifreeze fixing to fall off the water pump. I stuck my hand behind the pulley on the water pump and it was confirmed, antifreeze coming out of the weep hole. It left a wet spot about five inches in diameter after sitting for 5 hours. I guess now I know what my next project will be.

Hopefully I can do it this weekend if it doesn't rain too much. I don't have hardly any grease or oil on the front of my engine I just rebuilt it 3 years ago. It probably doesn't have over 5,000 miles on it. I know I should have put on a new water pump when I redid the engine, but I went ahead and reused the one I had. Oh well it lasted a little while. This pic of the engine was just taken a couple of months ago, it's pretty clean in there.
