477/ 534 a ghost?

i'm buildin a tow truck/ competition tractor pull rig out of my 77 F150. I've searched every junkyard within 100 miles for a 477/ 534 and I either get "We don't have anything that old" or "we don't have anything that big." Where do I find one of these monsters? Hope they didn't all get scraped when iron and steel were up last summer!

Just curious, why do you want a 477/534 SD gasser engine in your F150?

I bet you'll have more problems then you can shake a stick at...

Just go for a bored/stroked 460 if cubic inches is what your after...

Another member swapped a 534 (?) into his F350 he was using for sled pulling. He had pics and some info posted on his swap, but I can't seem to find it. Also, from time to time other Super Duty owners are looking to sell their old motors. Not too long ago I think a member was trying to sell 534 Seamaster.

Wasn't that a dual turbocharged Seamaster selling for scrap price more or less?

Sorry, Johnny, I bet you didn't want to hear that!

LOL, I think so. I think he was willing to part out the turbo chargers as well. I also remember seeing several Super Dutys which had been pulled from older trucks which were being parted out on Ebay not too long ago.
