P1506 obd code question

After getting p1506 overspeed code. Replaced iac and still have higher than spec idle ( 1100 + - ) and restarted the truck after disconnecting the battery and code is gone but high idle is still about 1100. Anyone have an idea what iam missing checked some of the top side vac hoses and they seem good.

I'd say look a little more for a vacuum leak.

i THINK its a vacum leak, hard to hear the spot. replaced the IAC hoping that was it. base idle should be 780 in nuetral. idles at 1100 nuetral,750-800 in gear and lower with air - point me in the right direction pls. ever had the same type problem yourself ?

I've had this problem on other vehicles in the past and it was always a vacuum leak.

Drive it for a few weeks until the MIL comes back on and then re-scan it. The new fault code should give you better guidance.

Did you try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to clear out the previous idle parameters?
