Where do you like 2 fish ?

So where is you favorite spots to go fishing? After living here a year and some months. I have only fished at lake pleasent, and was less than impressed. Now that im sure I wont be working any time soon I'm going to explore what AZ has to offer as far as fisheries go. I am not lookin for monster fish just great places that can be enjoyed for what they are. Thanks in advance, Jason.

Just a little 40 acre lake on a private ranch, on a bad weekend we can catch over 100 largemouth Bass, and not keep anything under 2 lbs.

Holy crap I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go I wanna go!!!!!!!!!!

Aside from the fact that it's quite scenic and exemplifies the wondrous natures of beauty, I want to catch some bass like that!!!!!!!!!!!

Deep breath ... hold it ... and relax.

Ok. Yeah that place looks sweet. In all the years I've been in AZ, I really haven't fished much. I tried Saguaro twice with no luck. I fished the Salt River years ago with a buddy from work. We had no luck, but he usually did ok over there. I'm ready to go get my urban lakes permit; supposedly there's some decent fishing there.

Monthly fishing trips. That's what we need.

that is the fish we caught in about an hour, the stringer wouldn't hold any more so I had to fillet them to make room on the stringer. I do support the fillet and release program.

As a teenager I used to trout fish in Clear Creek just east of Camp Verde and and go fishing for catfish in the Verde River. Now I live within a mile of the second largest lake in the US and have no interest in fishing here.

It does have its beauty especially after a snow storm or thunderstorm (no I'm not trying to follow a pattern) but I do miss some greenery sometimes

Can you believe I've lived here since 95 and never fished this lake. I've been all over it by boat.

OMG! That is like working in a Beer factory all your life, and never trying the free samples after work! Get out the poles and tackle!

Exclamation

I could catch more then 100 on a private lake as shown above if I felt like it. To me that would just be showing off. I have been fishing all over this greate state of AZ for 25+ yrs and to tell you the truth. It just depends on the day or night you go out. Sometimes I will go to Pleasant at night and catch alot and sometimes I get skunked. Same for the northern lakes. Trout fishing can be really good at Big Lake some years, but the trick is to get up there and enjoy the view and surroundings. Its not all about how many fish you catch but the memories you share with your family. Dont count the fish, just have fun! And remember the worm always works!

where did you fish at Pleasant...I used to listen to the fish reports on KMLE and he was always talking about below the dam.

I like to go to the ASU reseach park at McClintock and Price in Tempe, catch and release only, barbs removed from the hooks. State license required.
