You're right, Bill. The hub locks themselves have a bearing inside that needs to be occasionally serviced. This one should have been well-lubed when the hub was replaced:

There it is, The needle bearings are often overlooked, and will make some noise. They should have been replaced when the unit bearings were done. Be carefull with the o-ring type seal that wil cause some troubles with the ESOF if the truck is equiped.

it only makes the sound when i turn left. and the sound seems to come from the right front tire. My 4x4 is tough to disenguage. i have to wait a while for it to fully come off. i do not know how much offset is in the rims. i bought the truck like this. the truck only has 42k on the clock i doubt the wheel bearings should have went out twice already. is there a grease fitting for it that i can just lub up real quick. i dont want to pull those tires off. lol..
thanks for the help guys and keep the info coming

You cannot grease the wheel bearings, they are permanently sealed. According to that link Marv posted, you can clean and lube the locking hub needle bearings without removing the wheel.
Because it only does it turning one way, kind of sounds like it would be brake related. Sticky pins in the caliper come to mind as a common problem.
