HELP!! No power to radio, windows, or domelight.
My buddy is selling his truck in a couple days and was taking out speakers, afe intake, and satelite radio. I go to start the truck and i have no power to windows, no power to radio and no domelight when i switch it on and off. Dont know what i did but none of this works and everything else does.
I checked all fused all were good. I searched the forum for a solution and they said something about the automatic delay relay and i bought a new one and nothing still. I am not sure what else to do i checked with voltmeter if i had anypower to the window or radio and nothing. But the radios clock works and when i turn on the light it illuminates but doesnt turn on.
Please help selling truck soon and can sell it like this. The truck is a 2002 7.3L Crewcab. f350

I would check your fuses again with a mulit-meter for continuity, not just visually.
Look at the Breaker #601 and #102 for the windows
#11 for the radio
#35 and 41 for the dome light problem.
Hopefully, you didn't short something that took out the VSM.
The clock in the radio is powered (standby) with fuse #32 where #11 actually powers the radio.

At least on the 2001 pickup, the radio also has a fuse in the battery junction box - #29 - 20 amps.
Both the power windows and the courtesy lights are controlled by the GEM (Generic Electronic Module) mounted on the back of the central junction box. This module grounds the control relays to keep power on after you shut off the key. It also controls everything while the key is on. Even the dome light switch on the light switch uses the GEM to control the dome light.
If you have good power at the fuses, and if you jumper from power to the lights directly and they work, then it looks like a bad GEM.

From the 2002 schematics that I am looking at, the Battery Saver relay (K115) and the Interior lamps relay (K333) are incorporated (or plugged) into the Instrument cluster Microprocessor.
The battery saver relay is protected by fuse 35. The Interior Lamps relay coil is also protected by fuse 35 but the contacts of the Interior Lamps relay that power the interior light are on fuse 41.
The Interior Light relay will not operate unless the Battery Saver Relay energizes (controlled by the Instrument Cluster Microprocessor).
(It was confusing trying to write this, I can imagine what it's like trying to read it!!)

2003 F250 Electrical
I am also having a similar issue that just started this winter. When my truck is cold inside(below 40 degrees) my check engine light stays on,radio, power windows and wipers do not work. After a few seconds 5-10 you here a relay click then the radio comes on,windows work and check engine light goes off. Wipers will not work until I run the heater and warm up the cab. Can anyone help me with this issue? I have checked all the fuses, wiring, grounds etc. Ford tells me they have nothing on this issue but I have found many posts on different sites. For me, this was caused by trying to replace the map light bulb and shorting two of the band circuits that run to the light bulb.
