Rear seat headrest solution?

Have a extended cab 1997 F-150. Im looking for an aftermarket solution for headrests for the back seat. The kids are bigger now and their head would hit the glass in an accident.

Im sure someone has asked this question in the past, but Im not returning any hits on a search. I think FTE search function is broken - so please dont flame me.

I checked JCwhitney and did not see anything. Seems that it would be easy to bolt something to the cab behind the back portion of the seat and it would extend up to the glass area.

Regards,
TJ

Not a bad idea. Couldn't you get some from a junkyard that match your interior and then just weld up a bracket? Might be the easiest solution. My Screw has headrests on the rear seat, so you might look for one of those in the yards.

Headrest f150 1997

TJ,
Did you find an answer or a solution? I have the same issue . I was thinking of just making something and having it upholstered. Really don't think it has to be that substantial only a pad so the kids heads do not hit the window.
