Homemade body lift?
Has A FORD Drivin You Lately?
It is possible to lift you truck w/ oddball products, but it's not the brightest maneuver you could make. like the other man said, you can do it using hockey pucks, but this method is incredibly stupid, wherein the first good hit your suspension takes, the pucks go flyin, and you are in a world of crap... your best bet is to go ahead and do it right.

LAST EDITED ON 26-Apr-01 AT 11:45 PM (EST)[p]Oh my god, I haven't laughed this hard in a post in awhile. Its all already been said. Sure he could have done that, I could build a lift out of 2x4s and peanut buttter if I really wanted to. I myself have fabricated many things on my truck, and have allot of respect for somebody who can do their own work. But ya gotta draw the line somewhere! I don't know what's funnier; that he lifted his toy with lawnmover parts or that he admitted it to you.
P.S. On another humorous note, I actually have a part on my truck made from an old lawnmower. I needed to make a bracket for my ignition coil so I cut down an old ear from my bin of lawn mower parts, ground it to shape, painted it, and presto...custom coil mount. Maybe we should take a poll on how many of us have lawn mower parts on our rigs
If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.

Here is a hot tip. If you use the 2x4s be sure to get the pressure treated ones. Termites love to travel.

This is the most ridiculous forum I've ever been in, EVER! I haven't stopped laughing! But seriously guys, I think we all know that the best lifts are made using old hardcover books that you can't get rid of. A few dictionaries do very nicely to add 3 inches!

Use AOL preview CDs. I wonder if we could ever force AOL out of the country?
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
