Exclamation 3/4 or 1 ton truck rental

Hey Guys,

Apparently it's very possible I will not have my PSD repaired in time for our Thanksgiving trip. Any ideas on who rents a truck big enough to pull a 12K trailer?

Try united Rentals, I know they rent F-250 diesel trucks for construction workers.

i wouldnt but U-hall rents trucks, but they might just be F150s...you could rent a moving truck from like penskey and tow with that....none of those ideas sound good but they are options.

It's losing coolant and puking.... again. The Ford Hotline won't let them replace the headgaskets until they try replacing the EGR and Oil cooler, and both bench tested fine. It's frustrating when the Techs, the SA, and I know it's most likely the HG's and yet Ford is micromanaging the process due to the issues with International and the whole 6.0 'thing'.

Another thing that chaps my hide is that I firmly believe that they did not check the heads properly when the same delaer worked on the truck in October 2007. If it turns out to be the HG's and they don't replace the heads I'll be amazed... and very suspicious of the same problem happening again.

Ahhhhh..... who knows. Maybe I'll just get stupid freakin' lucky and the EGR/Oil cooler replacement will fix everything!

Enterprise truck rental in beautiful Santa Fe Springs has an 08 Ford F-250 6.4L CC for $39.99/day. It's got a hitch but the counter 'dude' doesn't know if it has the integrated trailer brake.

I'll have to go and check it out. It's probably not a good idea to tow 12K w/o trailer brakes! That and it's illegal.

Wow, that's a good price. It would almost be worth it just to experience towing with the 6.4L.

I'm sure you know you can stick a Prodigy in it in about 10 minutes if you buy the plug and play harness. Camping World usually has both in stock.

A pain in the butt adjusting the hitch though. I don't like messing with mine once I have it dialed in.

I have a Hensley so hitch adjustment won't be a problem. Unfortunately the trailer won't be level due to the increased ride height of my truck.

It won't be perfect but at least I may not have to cancel the Thanksgiving trip to Cal City. That's hard to explain to my 8 YO twins!
