Thanks
First off I want to say HI to you'll, I read the thread when time premits to see what's going on back home. I'm currently at a fire base in Afghanistan. No longer carrying a weapon. But working the logical side to get supplies to the war fighters. But if your ever in need of assistants and your in my neck of the woods, even if I'm not there I have a lot of friends that are just a phone call away.

I forgot to ask what unit he was with.
Air Force on loan to the Army, doing training at Bragg.
I can't figure out why he has been doing Army work on all of his deployments so far.
Installing armor on trucks first tour.
Escorting convoys on the second tour.
Sounds like a ground force on this tour with PRT training.

Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) the biggest one here is FOB Sharana, never hear of them being hit, unlike the smaller ones. A lot of time the AF runs the FET (Facility Engineer Team) they are the one that help maintain the sites, i.e. roads on base, building new housing and warehouses.
