'99 Ford F150 Heater Problem
As we approch winter I checked out my heater to find it does not work!!!!!!!!!!!
I drove my truck into town and open the hood to check the two heater hoses. Both hoses were hot so I can rule out heater core being blocked.
When I arrived home, I turned off my engine and listen next to the vent box to listen for the door flap to open and close when I would rotate cold to hot on my temp switch. That too works!
The only thing I do not understand is why my AC Compressor is still running after I rotate the switch to HOT and go to defrost yet no heat only cold air from the AC (again with the temp control to full heat RED).
Now since I am confused .. I am wondering if the temp control switch is bad? Seems after you pass the mid point from cold to hot the switch would deselect the ac compressor from starting.
Anyone have this problem or going through the same pains?? .. Oh! will will be painfull come winter ... Nebraska areas are sometimes -4 + with high winds. I do not foresee me being in my truck if it doesnt have any heat .... LOL!
