St Cloud Newbie with a tired 2.5L
Hi all ya'll!
I found this website and am looking for some info about my new truck. I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I am not a 'make' required person. I have no problem with the maker of the vehicle, just as long as it works. Ford, chevy, dodge, they all have a good side and a bad side to them.
I have a 2000 Ranger Ext Cab XLT, it has the 2.5L 5 speed with all the required toys! (All power options, cruise, Etc. Except 4x4 dang blam it!)
The eng is getting a bit tired and I'd like to swap it out for the newer 2.3L with a lil more HP and MPG. If I could rebuild another 2.5L that would do that also it would be a LOT easier! I do NOT want to go to the 3.0 or 4.0, the mid 20's is bad enough on gas at 4 bucks a gallon!
If anyone has some suggestions or has done something similar I would appreciate it!
Thanks
Mike
