Not a very nice color, but this is the same one Ford used in the mid to late 70s, just with the manufacturer's own badges instead of the Ford compass badge.
Oh yeah, and I finally got around to putting a rear bumper on.
I had an ad up on CL, same as I get everything pretty much.
If anybody wants, the guy I got this from had it on a 68 F100 of the same color, 360/4speed, 2wd that he has for sale for $900. If anybody is looking for a truck, I can pass on his contact info.
hey Jared I have a '69 that is in not so good shape and happened to see a '70 in a junk yard down here today that is better than mine.
My question is how much would or should I offer for an entire vehicle that is sitting out in their yard for parts? I thought you might have an idea since we have similar models.
Scrap value is about $200, so it really depends on how stripped it is. If it's fairly complete, they may want upwards of $1500 for it.
It is mostly complete thus far. The grille is gone, it has a bad steering column, a core 360/390, good trans they say and ALL it's sport/custom body trim and little rust. I don't want the engine/trans as mine are good to go it's just the cab and bed. The wife isn't too thrilled either.
I haven't seen one of those caps in years...in a strange way, they look good on the trucks too. Myself, I've opted to go a weirder way, and am waiting for the shell for mine to go into production (I'm on a waiting list). Not period correct, but I think it'll look ok on Buford.
