Volant CAI install on my 2001 V10

https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/..._F250_V10.html

New tech article on the site

I went and did it, and it worked out GREAT. Read the article for more information.

I will be away until after Labor Day and will check back on this thread tonight and tomorrow, but had to let you all know about it.

Definitely like the quality of the kit, the instructions, the sound, AND the increase in power. I do have the shorty eBay headers and the eBay y-pipe, and figured the Volant kit would at least do SOMETHING.

It sure did

Going on a 425+ mile trip tomorrow morning, coming back Labor Day, and will report my overall highway impressions loaded with about 1500lbs of stuff in the bed.

Hope you all enjoy the article !

I am NOT going to do the Zoodad mod - I do sometimes go through some pretty deep water (fast) and I intend to keep the front of my air box from getting water thrown right at it

I am hoping to do that soon, hopefully in the next few months. We'll see if I can get the funds together for a decent pull-and-tune.

Airaid cold air intake kit

Of course only this unit is available for my 2008 SD V-10 the install went good, today in moderate traffic the intake air temp went up to 103 degrees on my scangage 2 wow that is high noticed acceleration performance wasn't there either at 65 mph it went down to 82 degrees,i know the top of this unit is open sucking air from the engine compartment that is why i really wanted a closed unit like the Volant but not available, think i'm going to but the stock air filter box back on,any ideas?
