The rear (plastic) fender of my 2005 F350 dually has a 4" crack/gouge and a small hole due to an accident, and a body shop wants $950.00 to repair it. I'm thinking of making a repair myself--what is the best filler to use?
I always assumed they were fiberglass. If so, it would be relatively easy to patch from the under side. A little epoxy, TLC and spray paint all totalling less than $100 and you'll be good to go...
E-bay has 1 right now, a 1999-2005 Buy it Now for 212.00 the shipping is about 100.00.
Shoot some paint on it and you are alot cheaper than the body shop.
There not fiberglass but they can be repaired with some good glue, we fix them with a good plastic Fuser, preping the surface correctly is the important part when repairing plastics.
