Anyone know of a good shop in memphis?

My G/F's 1979 Camaro needs to have the engine install finnished up. Its missing some stuff, mostly small stuff. Anyone know of a shop that would do that? Or even a shop that might do that. I need to get it moved by Friday.

There is only one shop that i let touch my vehicles and that is Christian Brothers Automotive on Summer at Whitten. The mechanic there is top notch. However, they are a bit pricey in comparison to some other shops. If quality work is important and money doesnt matter, that is where i would go.

I use John Vinson at Memphis Performance & Engineering on the corner on Watkins & Chelsea. The address is 3456 Chelsea. Phone 901 274 7248. I live in Collierville & take my car & truck to him.Its about 30miles one way. He is the most honest mechanic I've ever known. He does mostly auto repairs but he can build any racing items you need. He is a JVK performance transmission dealer & a Mopar Performance dealer. Johns prices are reasonable & he will not do repairs you don't need. I bought tires for my truck a few yrs back. The tire shop told me I needed about $250 in repairs on my front end. I took it to John to have it checked out. He called me after he inspected the truck & told me nothing was wrong with my front end. I drove this truck 3 more yrs after this happened with the same front suspension. The only repair I made on it was shocks. Many tire shops tell their mechanics to lie about repairs. One of my friends quit a Firestone shop because they expected him to lie & charge people for repairs they don't need.
Give John a call. I've been using him since 88. I've never had a problem with any repair he has done for me.
