Question 1956 Ford Restoration

I am going to be restoring a 1956 Fairlane I know its not a truck but cant really find a messageboard simmilar to this one that covers the 55-56 fullsize.

But I had two questions.

First question is I found a website for the Chevrolet I am restoring right now that lists the different colors of different items such as the firewall color, engine color, valve cover color, hood spring color, hood hinge, and other items like that. I am wondering has anyone ever came across a website like that that gave the same information for restoring 1955 - 1956 Ford Fullsize Passenger cars.

Second question is the heater box as I call it under the hood on a 56 ford did they have the black wrinkle finish from the factory or semi gloss black? The pictures I took under the hood that I reviewed of the car is rusted on that and the black that is left looks like its just plain semi gloss but it could go either way considering the whole assembly including the heater motor is rusted.

I dont know if this is the right section to post this in but I figured under Misc Appearance & Dress-Up would be the right place since the two questions covers appearance under the hood.

Thanks in Advance.

1956 Ford Paint Codes
1956 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan
Chuck Gardiner Hobby 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan Egghead

That last one looks to have a lot of information and some nice pictures. He seems pretty **** about doing an accurate resto, so I believe he has it right.

Thanks Ill check those out.

Ive been to the last link before. Didnt pay much attention to the under hood pictures appears to have a smooth semigloss black finish on the heater assembly wonder where he got that 12 VOLT decal on the heater motor from. The first link I have also been to before, the second link I havent though and thats interesting that I never came across it since ive done internet searches for the Town Sedan.

As long as you know what your looking for, you can have vinyl cut to look like any classic sticker. Check your local sign shops, they most likely have an artist there that can look at that picture and make a similar font.

Thats what I thought about doing for the orignal decal that the car should have that said "Built in Texas by Texans" I found a picture of the decal and was going to have Kinkos make a reverse decal on clear vinyl or what ever so it would stick on the inside of the glass but alot of people have told me that Kinko`s has stopped making copies like that that are copyrighted. I need to email about the Paint OK decal set cause it looks like that 12 volt might come with that or I could just email the guy that restored the car and ask him where he got his stuff. But based off his information it would be safe to assume all the Y block`s ive seen with black exhaust manifolds isnt factory since his are cast iron grey like the master cylinder.
