F-150 to come with 340+ hp
The 2010 F-150 with EcoBoost will produce "significantly more" than 340 hp and 340 lb-ft-torque. It will also be 20+% more fuel efficient.

Im no engineer but why is 340 hp out of the question? The lincoln mks will have this engine next year I think and the rumor mill says 340/340. If its true it will be Fords bread and butter engine for the 150 when it comes available if the thing will hold up under sever duty and really get better mileage. I was thinking of buying a truck but Im waiting a few more years for something better to come along.
Now, this has been all over the internet except here. The long awaited 5.0 coming in the mustang in 2011 is supposed to have a truck version developed as well. I cant remember the code names. The mustang 5.0 was called coyote I think. The rumor mill has the mustang 5.0 at 400/360 while the truck was 340/380?
Seems like a major overlap there to me or maybe the rumor mill is wrong. I could see the 3.5TT and 5.0 booting out the 4.6/5.4 for good. A TT 5.0 would be killer but likely will never happen. Anybody have any inside info on this or thoughts?
