Best Re-build

Who is the best supplier for a rebuild kit for a 53 Flattie 8?
Gaskets set, etc.????

egge machine, h&h machine shop, joblots, hot rod and custom supply, flathead jack just to name a few. Your local parts houses should be able to get gaskets for you from fel-pro. I was also able to get rebuilt water pumps from Oreilly auto parts.

not sure if this is the best or best price but I think they seemed reasonable

freeze plugs!?, just where exactly are the freeze plugs on a flathead?? lol

Im not sure? LOL, is this one? maybe its just a tube of JB weld?
this picture is of my latest flathead purchase looks like it had a drain plug? at one time and they filled it in when it was rebuilt??

maybe the price will be much less if you dont order the freeze plugs?

I actually talked to the owner (he's local) about rebuilding my flathead but he's never done one before so I got scared off! hmmm

I also saw just a complete gasket set on Ebay a day or two ago, not sure if it was a good price or not though? let us know what you end up finding and final price, thanks
