It's the only way I can save my butt this month. I realise this is the wrong way to post about it - but I have $1,100 sunk in it, the body is awesome, I ran it today, the brakes suck, and I'd take $800 for it from a friend or anyone from FTE.

It's the only way I can meet my bills.

If I don't do this, I'm going under. The IRS snatched a pile of money away.

I don't ask for help very often, or very well.

This is for real - I HAVE TO sell something.

I've shot a lot of primer since then and took the ding out of the lower hood. That was march of last year.

 

I want it. It will save me alot in fuel back n forth to work once I get the brakes fixed.

 

It'll take some tinkering, but it's 99% complete.

The thing I always loved about them is you can customise them from end to end in the blink of an eye. The parts are still dirt cheap too!

 

Just the money I can save on desiel(about $140.00 a week) will fix it up.

 

I know that's right...

THAT was the other thought I had about it when I first saw the car. It was in a driveway I passed everyday on the way to Olive Branch.

When I saw the for sale sign one day, I locked up the brakes in the Ranger.

I can get radical mileage out of a Jap car - but it's not the same as a BUG!!!

 

I used to think that it wasn't what a car or truck looked like but what was in it that mattered. Many years later I realised that a "KEEPER" was one that was in good shape.

Too much body work taught me that lesson.

 

I'm in trouble. No word from the original buyer.

I guess it's "DU MA NEU" month for me.

Too bad, so so sad. If the house goes, the bug will be lost.

The Beetle is finally gone. The original buyer quit messing around and I got cash in hand for it today. FINALLY!

Sheesh.... It's only a week later than it ever should have been.

I hate like anything to panic about things, but when he first contacted me he sounded like "OH YEAH! Let's do it..." so I counted on it.

Bad move...
