Cig Lighter and Power Point not working

Greetings all,
I have a 2005 F-150 Supercrew. I bought it used about 18 months ago. After owning it for about 6 months I found out that the front power point and cigarette lighter don’t work. Hey, I never needed them before, now I do. The rear power point works fine. I checked the fuses…”all” seem okay, though I can’t find definitively which one powers the two mentioned items. I referred to the owners’ manual and a Haynes maintenance manual and neither one tells me which one specifically powers the power point and cig lighter. I looked at the schematic in the Haynes manual but neither one are shown. There are several “not used” slots for fuses with nothing in them, but then there are also several “not used” slots that do have fuses in them. I have to think that both lighter and power point are being effected by the same problem…I’m thinking it has to be a fuse but I don’t know exactly where to be looking. Anybody got a better maintenance manual that might be able to tell me which fuse slot I need to be looking at? Thanks in advance.

You're right, it will be a bad or missing fuse, but I can't tell you which position it's in.

Fuse 41 is for the cigarette lighter and fuse 39 is for the power point.
Both fuses are 20 amp and in the central junction box.
If the fuses are good maybe the cig lighter and power point are not plugged in.

Now that's the kind of info I'm looking for! Thank you very much.

But on a second thought...why would they not be plugged in and where would I look to check whether or not they were? Right behind the outlet or is there some place else to check?

here is a wire diagram.

front cig lighter is fuse #41 (20 amp)
front power point is fuse #39 (20 amp)

I'm not to good at wiring diagrams, but I think they share a common ground. perhaps the prior owner had a radio installed. If so, I'll bet they used that ground and might have f'd it up on the install/removal

Based on everybody's info I went out and did a check specifically #39 and #41. They both looked good, but just to be sure I checked them out with my ohm meter. Low and behold the one for the power point was open! It looked good but was open somewhere in there. Replaced the fuse now the power point is good. Even though it checked good I went ahead and replaced the cig lighter fuse #41 but no joy...still bad. I was going to check behind the cig lighter for the connection but how in the heck do you get the cup holder out of the console? I thought I was going to break the silly thing. If I could get that out I could at least check the outlet, but as it stands I can't even see behind.

One down, one to go. Thanks for all the help!!
