Yet another reason to move out of Chicago

Hey guys heres another reason I really want to move out of Chicago and Crook county. The sales tax is now at 10.25%. Also to top it off their city sticker $180 for my 2005 Super Duty and $130 for my Expedition.
I cant see how anyone wants to move here and pay higher taxes and see/hear higher crime? Housing is going crazy a house for over 450k and higher, with no views unless you like to look at the brick house 10ft from yours?

Do they have any kind of wheelage tax? In Minnesota there are some counties that charge you an extra fee when you renew your registration if you keep your vehicle in that county. Nevermind if the vehicle is registered in a different county, if the vehicle is in these certain counties over 50% of the time they want you to pay a wheelage tax.

There are 2 counties IIRC that have the wheelage tax. County A and County B. If your vehicle is kept in County A or B over 50% of the time you have to pay this wheelage tax. It does not matter where it is registered. If you have it registered in County A or B you pay the tax no matter what I believe. If I register my vehicle in County C but keep it in County A or B most of the time I am "supposed" to check the box on the registration renewal form that says to charge the wheelage tax.

City/Village stickers are a wheel-use tax imposed by your municipality.

Come on over to Indiana. Yeah, the license plate for an F-250 PowerStroke is $400 per year (because of GVWR) but sales tax is only 7% and we're getting our property taxes straightened out (cap of 1% of assessed value)

Man, I'm glad that I live here in the far south suburbs! No city/village stickers here, sales tax is a lot lower here(6.5%, I think), and even gas is a little bit cheaper here
