I mean stock and a flattie from the early '50's as I would imagine the late flathead V8's were the fastest.

 

i best guess would prolly be hopped up maybe 13's or faster and stock maybe 17-20

 

i got stupid one day and abused the 53 . we used a clock not a stopwatch , and i think it was like an hour and a half or something like that in the 1/4 mile ..... in all honesty my wifes pt loozer vert is faster than my flatty .

 

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, probably 19's. I would think 0-60's would be about high 14's for a stock flattie V8.

I think the Ford six of the time would be close as hp/torque weren't much different.
