Motorcraft Water Pump Gasket, 4.0L SOHC V6, What's this?
Question is.... What's the sheet metal spacer for that came with my Motorcraft water pump. This is for my 2002 Explorer 4.0L SOHC V6.
I purchased a new pump from CSK Auto (yes, they sell Motorcraft parts). The price seem good, considering it looked to come with a gasket.
What's the Motorcraft gasket look like? What came with the pump looks to be a pump gasket, but is a plain sheet metal shape with no sealing compound on either side.
