Thanks Snowking. I'll go see what I can find.
I see you have some old International's. Have you ever had problems with universal joints with those? Not sure of the year, but I know a guy thats got one. Had a joint go out a few years ago, the mechanic told him he wouldn't fix it again because it was a real burger. So guess what, it went out again. I guess he isn't planning to fix it. I'd say it's about a 1950 2 ton truck with a boom and winch mounted on it. Just curious. Bob

My Internationals are 1958 and 1960.. They don't have a problem and as far as I know no International had a problem. I'm guessing your friends driveshaft may not be perfectly straight maybe? Even a slightly bent driveshaft will eat U joints like a Fat kid at a Candy store.

Old car/truck parts

Several sources not previously listed: joblotauto.com / greensalescompany.com and egge.com

Also, check out hemmings.com for parts sources. It's a monthly publication that's been around since the 1950's, and is the Number 1 source for old vehicle parts and restoration services.

Thats funny Snowking. I might be able to buy that old International cheap. I'm going to go check it out. Be worth a different driveshaft, runs great.
Thanks Brad and Bill for the sites, I'll check them out. Hemmings, I went their when I was after a hydo-booster. Ended up finding some outfit from Chicago on e-bay to re-build it. For about 300.00. I wish this f6 was a f5, all this vacuum stuff gets pricey.

Thanks all!! I have alot of research to do. It's starting to turn into fun and excitement.
I might be getting bitten by this flathead bug.
55 f350 made it home just fine, a little rough after stopping at Ryans. Little Bro and I were stuffed to the gills. Good vittles. Get your strap in the mail tomarrow, thanks Bob

Hey Bill,
My first car was a 63 Galaxie 500XL. Beige and white. Bucket seats, floor
shifter cruise-o-matic. Thunderbird 390 engine. In 1969 I bought it for 325.00. It was very well taken care of. I still dream about it. Drove her for 6 years. Sweet car!!! Bob
