Welcome to FTE and the BC Chapter, Peter!

The VIN check here is accurate... I checked mine and it was fine. What in particular are you looking for?

There's a link here for your owners' manual too if you need it.

welcome aboard.
post a request in the superduty or diesel forum under the heading of oasis report and you'll get an in depth breakdown in the report of everything about your truck.

Welcome to the forum. Afraid I can't give any more info than the other two.

How do you like the truck so far? I am looking at upgrading mine and am kind of interested in an 03 with the 6.0.

Chris

I would suggest an 03 Powersttroke because the have tuners that came out for 03-06 and you get the most horsepower on an 03. You can gain up to 125hp. My 04 only gets 105-115hp. I also have a 2.5" exhaust from cat. back.I also do lots of towing and I still need alot of things on that truck. Any suggestions?

How fast does you current truck go. Ho well does it run. On setting 10 on my 04 I reached 220km/h, thats fast. I also raced an 02 Dodge SHortbox, duilly with a racing trany and rebult motor to go fast and mine was stock. You should read the results. We took off at the same time and he was ahead of me once the truck got into second gear I flew past him and he was ****ting bricks (excuse my language.) LOL.

My truck is only a 5.4 so not allot of speed there. I would love to get a 7.3 and have been searching the autotrader online and the only one that has the configuration that I want at a decent price is a 6.0. We bought anoter 5th wheel this spring and the engine gets turning pretty hard sometimes.

Re: Chris

Yeah, I have a Gearbox Travel Trailer that weights in around 11,500lbs. My motor spins quite a bit. I traveled from Abbotsford to Nelson and the truck was SMOKIING BAD, I couldnt even see the trailer behind me. It turned out to be the EGR Valve so I got a new one. Then about 1 month ago my truck was acting up and when I gave it gas it would stall. I brought it in to Ford and they said it was an EGR Valve for the WATER. I never knew that there was such thing on my truck. After that the truck was awesome!!!

Zip !!!! 03 was the 1ST YEAR FOR THE 6.0L Never Never buy something the year it comes out. Most chances of problems in the 1st year BUT if you find one that has been taken for every recall and TSB you are probably ok.

I'm going to see if I can get an Oasis report run on it. That should tell me what I need to know. I sure don't plan on going into this blind. There are allot of trucks out there and this one is one that caught my fancy.

Suggestions

I have an 04 and if you want any upgrades done to it the 03 is the best for it. Thats where your HP comes in. It may be true with all the screw ups but there is a big loss of HP when it comes down to adding chips and tuners. I see you live in Loops too. I juxt moved here. Im going to buy an 1993 F150 XLT Automatic 4X4 and the rear and is being rebuilt. Any suggestions on how much this truck would cost? I was told $1700, I was going to buy an S15, which is better? I cant decide.

Chris... There was some problams with the 03/04 6.0L Powerstrokes engines and transmissions, they were, harsh/slipping conditions, harsh/delayed forward/reverse engagements, bad fuel injectors and valve steams cracking and leaking oil from the head into the cylinders. Thats why I got a new tranny because my reverse blew in the winter when I was backing up in 4X4 cause of bald tires(too many smokeshows) and snow.

f-150 is fullsize , better truck a little harder on fuel maybe,if it has the straight 6 cyl snap it up! S-15 small truck ,not as rugged, better mileage maybe if the S15 does not have a 4cyl or a 4.3 V6 forget it . Though the 4 will be gutless.
