4.0 misses on hot start, then runs fine
Both my '94 and my buddy's '95 4.0 V-6 Ranger engines miss for about 15 to 30 seconds on a normal hot start, like when you go into the store for 30 minutes. After "cleaning themselves" out, they perk up and run fine. If the motor has cooled ALL the way down, you start it and it runs fine right from the start.
They will do this on gasahol or regular unleaded - the first ideas I've heard was that the gasahol boils when you shut off thereby causing the problem so I switched to reg unleaded but it still does it.
Mine has 130k miles and his 101k miles, but both have been taken care of, had regular oil changes, and don't seem like tired motors at all. Thanks in advance for any help.

Zip, it might be a leaking injector. After shutoff, the injector leaks and floods the cylinder, causing a hot re-start miss. The fuel has time to evaporate after the engine has cooled, giving a normal cold start......??????
