how to empty the sludge out of a 400 gallon barrell

I have access to a couple places to get greese they change the greese out twice weekely but put it in a big greese container that they have bought which is half full of sludge and I would like to know the best way to get the sludge out so I can make my greese better the barrels have been there for 7 or 8 years and are half way full of sludge there is a 1inch drain at the bottom but I didnt want to do it that way I would like to suck it all out thanks for the help guys.

mineral spirts should cut it,,, for the pump i don't know..I'd think if you drained it would be cleaner

What do you do with the stuff when you get it out? I have about 10 gallons of chicken roticery fat to dispose of and dont know what to do with it. I found a person tha wants some of it for bear bait but he cant take it all.

I have a couple dozer decks im going to burn so i will just put it on there I live in the country so it wont be a problem

If it's thin enough (not solid) you could get an air operated diaphragm pump. I have pumped darn near everything with one.
